Summary
The short version before the detailed checkpoints.

A nationally important field does not automatically make every endeavor in that field nationally important. The record still needs to explain this endeavor's prospective impact, beneficiaries, broader implications, and credible mechanism.

A statement that cybersecurity, biotechnology, energy, or advanced manufacturing matters nationally may provide useful background. It does not explain what the proposed work will do, who it will affect, or why that effect can extend beyond a single role, company, or client.

Name the proposed work first, then identify the field, regional, public, or other broader consequence it could credibly influence. Do not treat a government priority or industry problem as proof that the applicant's own work has that reach.
